P. U. E. Celebrates Red Ribbon Week with Door Decorating Contest

Poplarville Upper Elementary teachers and students joined schools across the country in celebrating Red Ribbon Week during the week of October 25-29, 2021.  Red Ribbon Week is a nationally celebrated drug prevention campaign that began in the eighties to pay tribute to fallen DEA agent, Enrique Camerena. In addition to fun themed dress-up days, P. U. E. participated in a door decorating contest.  The winners are: 3rd Grade – Ms. Sanders with “Frankly, we think drugs are NOT cool!” 4th Grade – Ms. Leggett with “Drugs won’t crush our dreams!” and 5th grade – Ms. Knight with “Trick or Treat. Smell my feet. A Drug-Free life is super sweet!”! Congratulations to all!
