Athletic Update April 6-9th, 2021

Archery 

The PHS Archery team has qualified for a state tournament, and we encourage you to support the Hornets Archery team at the tournament on April 13, 2021, in the Middle School Gym.

Tennis 

Our PHS tennis team will travel to the Wynn Center in Wiggins on Tuesday, April 6th to compete in their district tournament. Good luck to our tennis players as they wrap up their season.

Softball

On Friday, March 26th our PHS softball team traveled to Sumrall and gave it their all but came up 2 points short with a final score of 6-5. This week, they will compete in two more games. The first will be against Sumrall here at home on Tuesday, April 6th. They will then play Forest County on the eighth. Both games will begin at 6:30 pm. Good luck to our Lady Hornets!

Baseball

On April 3, 2021, the PHS varsity baseball team came short against Pearl River Central. The ending scores were, Poplarville – 8, and Blue Devils- 10. PHS will play again April 6th at Greene County. Game start 4:30-6:00 pm, Junior Varsity plays first, then raps up with Varsity. Then Friday, they will go head-to-head against Greene County at home game times are 5-7:00 pm. Good Luck!
