V0LLEYBALL NEWS

The Poplarville Hornet Volleyball Team won it’s only match of the week last Thursday. The Hornets defeated North Forrest  3-1 on the road to improve to 6-2 overall. The Volleyball Hornets have a busy week with a Region 7-4A road game at FCAHS Monday, a rival home game Tuesday against Picayune, and another Region 7-4A road game against Greene County Thursday. All dates include JV and Varsity matches with JV at 5pm and Varsity at 6pm.

 

FOOTBALL NEWS

The Hornet Football team lost a tough game Friday in their first ever meeting with Mandeville High from Louisiana.  The Hornets stayed close in the 1st half but the second half saw too many mistakes and a 65-35 defeat at the hands of the visiting Skippers. The defeat didn’t stop the fans from cheering on their home team and showing just how much Poplarville spirit our community has. The 1-2 Hornets will travel to D’Iberville Friday to face the 6A Warriors at 7pm. Use link below for directions.
