PHS DECA Competition

On January 20, 2017, the Poplarville High School DECA Chapter attended the District V Regional Competition at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Gulfport, Mississippi.  The DECA Chapter, directed by Mrs. Hope Roberts, consisted of seven participants and one student volunteer.  Congratulations to the following students that placed in the competition.

Heidi Ashley: 1st Place in Quick Serve Restaurant Management

Destiny and Tyler Golden: 1st Place in Business Law and Ethics Team Event

Caitlin Sumrall: 2nd Place in Hotel/Lodging Management

Janna Dutsch and Jadyn Farmer: 4th Place in Sports Management and Entertainment Marketing Team Event

Abigail Roberts: 5th Place in Principles of Marketing

Each student qualified for the State DECA Competition in Jackson, MS and will compete February 15th- February 17th.
