MSP Honors Veterans

The Middle School of Poplarville presented a Veterans Day Breakfast and Veterans Day Program on Friday, November 11th, to recognize and honor the veterans who live in the Poplarville School District. Veterans and their spouses as well as other guests joined the students and staff to pay tribute to celebrate this occasion.
 
Mackenzie O. was the mistress of ceremony. The theme for the 2016 Veteran's Day was "Patriotism and Liberty." The program included students, teachers, and special guest speaking and singing to show appreciation to the veterans. Mrs. Heidi Dillon was presented with a a dedication picture from Mr. Windham to hang in the school foyer. 
 
Mrs.  Bettye Elliot was presented with a plaque for her years of service for planning and coordinating the program. She will be retiring at the end of this school year and has always done a wonderful job organzing the Veteran's Day program.
