The Lady Hornet Slow Pitch Softball team is proud to announce the new assistant coach, Janessa Dedeaux. Janessa Dedeaux is a former assistant coach from William Carey University and also a former Lady Hornet. We are happy to have her back in Hornet Country!

The girls have been busy preparing for the upcoming season that will begin next week.  Head coach, Ryan Jackson, shared his predictions for the approaching season, “I always feel that we are in the running to be playing deep into October. Even though we are a growing team, we have the potential to be the best I have coached.”  Eight key players graduated in May, leaving Samantha Shields as the only Senior on the team this year.

The Lady Hornets are very excited for the season to begin.  They have been hard at work learning new techniques, such as “The Line Drive Pro”.  The girls can’t wait to put the new drill’s into play this season.

The Lady Hornet 2016 season will begin Tuesday, August 16th at home on Pete Jackson Field when they face West Harrison.  Junior Varsity at 5:30, Varsity at 7:00!
