PUE Honors Veterans

Mrs. Lee’s class had one of our country’s heroes, Mr. Willis Knight, come and talk to them about why we celebrate Veterans Day, the importance of being an American, and the importance of our American flag.  He also spoke of the importance of freedom that we have in America.

Mr. Knight has 28 years of service. He was drafted in the Army in September of 1969. He served in Vietnam from February 1970 to April of 1971. He then served our country in the National Guard for 26 years. He retired in 1998.  Students thanked Mr. Knight for serving our country and protecting our freedoms.

We thank you personally, Mr. Knight for your sacrifices and service you have given so we can live free in the greatest country in the world!
