MSP Health Students Learn About Self Esteem & Personal Traits

During the first week of class, Mrs. Nikki Smith's class talked about students having high/low self-esteem and learning to acknowledge his/her positive and "awesome" traits. To have good health, students realized it takes having positive physical, mental, social, and emotional health.

Positive "social" health includes being friendly, encouraging others, etc.  For this activity, the students traced their arm and had to write 5 "awesome and unique" traits about themselves that they express physically, socially, and emotionally.  Then each student cut out clippings from a magazine that described what "makes them happy."

The students loved this exercise because they were able to acknowledge their unique traits!
