Ivory Smith Speaks at CDC Culinary Arts

Poplarville High School Culinary Art’s students were privileged to have Mr. Ivory Smith, Veteran and local business owner as guest speaker on Friday January 23, 2015.  Mr. Smith is the grower/owner of Smithponics Microgreens.  He spoke to the students about how he started his business of growing microgreens, how often his crop produce, how he contracts with upscale restaurants, and delivers his product to them. He sells the microgreens to restaurants on the Mississippi gulf coast, Hattiesburg Corner Markets, and New Orleans, Louisiana.  He does sell to private individuals, desiring his healthy product line.  If interested please contact him at info@smithponics.com.
