3rd Grade visits Country Girls Creamery

Third graders at PUE have been studying about communities and neighborhoods for the past several weeks. As a culmnating activity, all third grade classes took a field trip to Country Girls Creamery to see first-hand how local milk, cheeses, and ice creams are made. Students had an opportunity to feed the baby calves, tour the dairy’s facilities, and take a wagon ride through the pastures. They really enjoyed seeing how our local community has an active working dairy, and understand that the purchase of local products lends support back to our community.
