Poplarville High School Choir District Contest |

On February 23, 2010 The Poplarville High School Choir traveled to district competition. They competed in many areas. The choir brought a SATB (soprano , alto, tenor, bass) group, a SSA (girls)group, and an mixed ensemble group (small girls and boys). They received Excellent ratings in all their performing groups. However they brought home a Superior Trophy in sight reading. This is a huge accomplishment because to sight read they must be able to sing a piece of music that they have never seen before for the judges and be rated on accuracy.
They PHS Choir will continue to work on these pieces to perform for their spring concert coming up soon. The accomplishments at this competition have made their director and their school very proud.
