By the time a student graduates, he/she will have spent more than thirteen years in school. School is meant to prepare for the future. But, sometimes the connection between school and ones future gets lost. Many students finish high school saying Now what? or they drift from job to job without much direction. Instead of feeling prepared, they feel lost.
Mrs. Seals 5th grade Discovery students participated in a Career Fair to help familiarize themselves with all of the opportunities they have after graduation. Each student researched three careers and then created a power point presentation on the career they were most interested in. Parents and friends attended the Fair and were wowed by the students knowledge. \

Poplarville pummeled a pack of Picayune players. A pack of Picayune players Poplarville pummeled. If Poplarville pummeled a pack of Picayune players, how many Picayune players did Poplarville pummel? The answer: All of them! The PHS tennis team put a whooping on Picayune in recent tennis action. Winners were Oscar Goins, Asa Goins, Aaron McWilliams, Brandon Langlois, Austin Tyner, and Grayson Amacker. The majority of the team didnt get to play. The official reason was because Picayune only had a few players on the team. We wonder if it had anything to do with Poplavilles pummeling players! |
