Poplarville High Schools Future Business Leaders of America say, Go green! not only for their Poplarville Hornets, but also for Earth Day. On Friday, April 24, FBLA members set off for Fairhope, Alabama, to participate in the 19 th annual Earth Day Mobile Bay celebration.
To prepare for their trip, FBLA members, along with the help of some BCT students, collected old computers to take to the Fairhope Public Works Department to be recycled.
On Saturday, April 25, the students attended the celebration where they learned all about better ways to recycle, got to interact with some endangered species, and even took a quiz to see how large their carbon footprints are.
The students had a great time, and they all agree it was a wonderful experience. |
