 Mrs. Wendy Orr, Dustin Willoughby, and Dernell Brown of MSP create a prop using paper mache for Relay for Life. MSP, along with all the Poplarville schools have been working very hard to prepare for the annual Relay for Life fundraiser for cancer. Relay for Life was held at the PRCC football stadium on Friday, April 27. The theme this year was "Mississippi Jones the Quest for a Cure." |

 Mrs. McCardles fourth grade classes have been working on a natural resources unit in science. During the unit, students have discussed the importance of preserving and protecting our natural resources. To promote conservation at PUE, they created conservation posters. |

 Mrs. Mary Miller's senior English class was visited by Ms. Ernestine Brown-Rampola. Ms. Brown-Rampola is a Client/Community Recovery Specialist for the American Red Cross. Ms. Brown-Rampola explained to the class her role assisting people in our area since Hurricane Katrina. She told them how they can participate in community service through the Red Cross. |

 Students in Mrs. Trishs Kindergarten Class recently had an outstanding learning experience. They actually witnessed Painted Lady Butterflies emerge from their chrysalis! The children were mesmerized as they watched each butterfly crawl from its chrysalis, slowly move its wings to dry, and extend its proboscis in search of food. As you can imagine, they were extremely excited to actually witness events discussed in class and read about in books. |

 Second grade classes participated in the Flat Stanley Project. The students are pictured with some of the materials they received from all over the United States and the world. Through this experience, students were able to learn more about different places and cultures. |
