The boy's soccer team finished their season with a 5-2 victory against Forrest County Agricultural High School this past Saturday, the 27th of January.
After a challenging season, the soccer team managed to pull together at the end to beat one of the higher-ranking teams in their league. Despite challenging weather and field conditions, the team played fantastically. Although things looked grim when starting goalie Stradford Goins was taken out by a fierce blow with just a half hour left, the team's talent managed to shine through even in the bleak atmosphere. Stradford returned near the end. The star players of the game were sophomore Riley Smith who scored two goals to bring the team back from behind, and Shelby Purvis who scored the two other goals. The fifth goal was scored by senior Nathan Bowman to end the game at 5-2. Amidst the rain and freezing temperatures, our team emerged victorious, leaving the graduating seniors with something to remember.
"The game was intense, but we hung in 'til the end
finally winning by three points. It was a wet but fun game," said junior defender Torrey Harriel.

After celebrating the 100th Day of School, some very strange sounds were heard in Mrs. Trish's Class! Lots of woofs were heard as 24 little dalamatians celebrated the 101st Day of School, learned about the proper care of dogs, and to count on from 100. |
