Ms. Angie Malley?s class is beginning school
with a patriotic unit that was developed for students to acquire the
characteristics needed to be a responsible citizen. We also explore the
concepts of maps and symbols. We began with the study of the meaning of the
Pledge of Allegiance and the rituals and routines of our classroom. Check our
classroom website out from time to time to see what is happening in our
classroom.

The Poplarville High School athletic division is building a new football and soccer stadium. Construction is estimated to be completed by July of 2007.
According to Coach Lance Mancuso, the total cost of this new addition will be around $700,000 to $750,000. The school district is providing $420,000 of that amount, and the rest will be accumulated from booster clubs and various fundraisers. Ornamental bricks will be sold for $250 a piece with the names of the contributors inscribed on them.
Manufacturing of the stadium will take approximately three months, and the completed sections will be shipped in to be assembled. Along with the stadium will be a new dressing room and restroom facility as well. |
