Poplarville firefighters brought the real world of fighting fires and helping others to the fourth grade students of Mrs. Sims? and Mrs. Bolin?s language arts classes. Students have been studying about firefighters of today and long ago. The firefighters also showed the students tools on the fire truck, displayed their protective gear, and gave the classes some fire safety tips.

The Allied Health II students toured the Mortuary Science
Department at MGCCC Perkinston Campus on
November 9, 2005. The instructor
discussed the process of embalming. The
students were told of the educational requirements and job duties of a funeral
director. The students viewed the casket
room and were able to hold urns.

Here are some pictures of Ms. Sandra Burge?s 2nd grade class making lemonade. This project was done to go along with their story Lemonade For Sale. Each child was given the opportunity to squeeze a lemon on an antique lemon squeezer. The teacher mixed the lemon juice, sugar, and water to make the lemonade. The kids all enjoyed sipping on the class prepared lemonade.

The Quest students at MSP have just completed a simulation entitled “Agency”. Agency was designed to give students insight into psychology and production of advertising in America. The simulation examined various rules, techniques, tricks, and gimmicks that are used to promote and sell everything from deodorants to computers.

Plum High School Makes Donation |

On November 7, 2005 Linda Eazor, President of the Plum High School PTA, drove all the way down to south Mississippi to give out food and supply donations to PHS. After seeing our name on the PTA national website, Plum High School started raising money and supply donations for PHS. Soon after Linda Eazor and her husband rented a U-haul and made a trip down south to distribute all the donations.
