CROSS COUNTRY

Wednesday, November 6th in Jackson, Mississippi a few our lady hornets left school to run in the State Cross Country Tournament. Blaire Alexander, Mollie Brown, Renee Harris, Evelyn Kimbell, Angel Robertson, and Juliana Wells ran for Poplarville High School. These ladies ran 3.1 miles. The coarse they ran was brutal, however these ladies pushed through and gave it their all. There were 193 girls who were signed up to run, yet only 148 had ran. Out of them, our ladies placed well. Angel Robertson placed 129th, Blaire Alexander placed 91st, Juliana Wells placed 68th, Mollie Brown placed 49th, Renee Harris placed 36th, and finally Evelyn Kimble who placed 5th. All of these ladies did there absolute best in representing their school as wells as their team. The lady hornets cross country team has placed 9th in the top 20. Big shout out to this team who ran for our school.
