Poplarville Upper Elementary’s Little Free Library Ribbon Cutting Scheduled

Poplarville Upper Elementary’s Little Free Library Ribbon Cutting and Book Drive will take place on November 1, 2018. We are thrilled to offer this new program to the students at PUE!

A Little Free Library is a “take a book, leave a book” station where students share their favorite books. In its most basic form, the library is a book exchange where students are given open access to reading material.

Spearheaded by Library Media Specialist, Angela Malley, the Little Free Library campaign is made possible through a grant from the Poplarville Parent Teacher Organization. The stand, donated by the Hattiesburg American circulation department, has been revamped by Ms. Malley.

We would like to invite the community to donate new or gently used books to the LFL! Donations will be accepted during PUE Parent Night on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Any student who donates a book will receive a free homework pass! If you have any questions, Ms. Angie will be happy to answer them during Parent Night. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 5:00. We hope to see you there!
