PHS Annual College Fair

Poplarville High School hosted our annual college fair on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. Colleges from across our state came out to visit with PHS students. From Blue Mountain College to Pearl River Community College to LSU of Alexandria to the National Guard, there was a wide range of representation for our students to visit.

Juniors and Seniors attended the PHS College Fair throughout the morning. Students left the fair with a lot of new information and college goodies.

The College Fair is the 3rd part of the College Countdown Mississippi project which is modeled after the American College Application Campaign (ACAC), a national effort to increase the number of first-generation and low-income students pursuing a college degree or other higher education credential. PHS recently held an application day (part 1) and a FAFSA Day (part 2) of the College Countdown Initiative. For more information about College Countdown MS, please visit Get2College at https://get2college.org/college-countdown-ms-who-we-are/.

Check out the PHS Guidance Blog for a full list of the colleges that attended the fair and pictures. http://phscounselor.blogspot.com/2017/11/college-fair-2017.html
