The Poplarville Hornets beat The Picayune Maroon Tide 27-24 in the season opener Friday Night. The Hornet Offense rushed for 438 yards and the Hornet Defense shut out Picayune in the second half of a very physical football game.
The Hornets take on another county rival this Friday night hosting Pearl River Central. Kickoff is at 7pm. Pre-sale tickets will be available Wednesday through Friday at the PHS office from noon to 1pm.
